Starting a business is not complicated. You can do it without leaving your home by using the website.

If you already have all the necessary information for company registration, you should apply to the appropriate office / registry. It depends on the type of company you have chosen.

One-person company (self-employment)

You register in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG). You can do it online or submit an application to the Municipal Office.

You also do not have to go to the Tax Office, GUS, ZUS or KRUS, your application is transferred automatically. The CEIDG system will send a confirmation of submitting the application to the e-mail address provided by you or inform about errors that need to be corrected. Within 7 days of starting your activity, you must apply to ZUS to register as an insured person, because when submitting the CEIDG-1 application, you are registered with ZUS only as a payer.

Note – dealing with matters online will make it easier to have a trusted profile. If you use electronic banking, you can confirm a trusted profile through selected banks without visiting an office. Then you will be able to deal with matters, log in to CEIDG and biznes.gov.pl, and sign applications using your online banking.

Civil company

You must register a civil company with the Central Statistical Office (REGON register). Partners (natural persons) should be registered in CEIDG.

The fund offers, among others a liquidity loan, which can be applied for by entrepreneurs who have the status of a micro, small enterprise or medium enterprise.

Training for entrepreneurs

The Development Services Database www.uslugirozwojowe.parp.gov.pl offers, inter alia, training courses, vocational courses, postgraduate studies, consulting, coaching and mentoring.

The historically valuable and architecturally interesting wooden churches belong to a special category of monuments. They are well preserved in the Podkarpackie voivodship. They constitute the second oldest cluster of wooden churches in Europe, right after the Norwegian stave churches. All of them are valuable monuments not only in Poland, but also in Europe and the world. The wooden churches of Blizne and Haczów are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Several beautiful churches, masterpieces of wooden architecture, have been preserved in the Brzozów municipality. Each of the temples is unique in its own way.

Humniska – Gothic wooden church

The wooden Gothic temple St. Stanislaus the Bishop located in the village Humniska was established in 1409. In 1624, the church served as a warehouse for loot stolen by Tatars from other churches. That’s why it survived. In the 19th century it was renovated and two closed chapels with baroque towers were added. The main altar is from 1625-1630, probably from the church in Blizne. The crucifix, a stone baptismal font and a pulpit date back to the 18th century.

Górki – wooden church from the early 20th century

The wooden church in Górki was built in 1930-1941. It is situated in the center of the village. There is a modern, brick parish church nearby. Contact for sightseeing: phone: +48 13 434 56 81

Zmiennica – wooden parish church

In the village of Zmiennica you should visit the wooden parish church of St. Catherine from 1810, transferred from Jasionów. Together with the church, the oldest tombstone in the region of knight Wzdowski from 1539 was moved. Next to the church you can admire a neo-Gothic grannary.

 Wooden Architecture Trail

The Wooden Architecture Trail in the Podkarpackie Province with a total length of 1202 km, is divided into 9 routes. The most common objects are wooden churches. However, there are also valuable  and beautiful rural buildings. You can also see old manors and historic technology buildings.

Along the Krośnieńsko-Brzozowska Route (length: 134 km) it is worth visiting the temples in Humniska, Blizne and Haczów, as well as valuable monuments, among others in Jabłonka, Jaćmierz, Dydnia, Bekowo, Golcowa and Domaradz.

Haczów- the oldest church and UNESCO World Heritage

The oldest church is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Michael the Archangel in Haczów. It was built in 1388 of larch and fir logs. The carpenters didn’t use a single nail, just wooden latches, because the nails rust and attract moisture.

Nature and educational path “Brzozów-Zdrój”

3 km from the center of Brzozów there is a well-marked nature and educational path “Brzozów-Zdrój”

The name comes from the spa facility that operated in this place before World War II. At the end of the 19th century, during the search for crude oil, water was found in which minerals with healing properties were discovered. On this basis, in the years 1926–1928, thanks to the efforts of the bishop of Przemyśl  Anatol Nowak, a medical facility was established specializing in the treatment of rheumatism, rickets, atherosclerosis, and kidney failure. The facility was destroyed during World War II. The remains of foundations and other objects are still visible today. Healing water is currently not extracted.

Near the parking lot, which is also the beginning and end of the path, there is a well-kept shelter with a place for a fire and benches, and a large map. The votive chapel built in the place where the Theological Seminary was moved from Przemyśl to Brzozów because, under Soviet and German occupation, there were no conditions for the relatively normal functioning of the seminary. The forest seminary was opened on May 10, 1940. Altogether almost 100 priests were ordained here.

The path runs through the forest with rich species composition and a diversified structure: oak-sycamore-fir stands, old larch, oak, and fir trees.

The 3 km long loop has 14 information and education boards, which help to notice the natural peculiarities and beauty of the forest. This route is ideal for family trips.

How to get there

From Brzozów drive in the direction of Zmiennica and after approx. 3 km at the monument to the Holocaust victims of Brzozów turn right into the asphalt forest road to the parking lot.

Jordan Park in Brzozów

A green oasis in the town center. The name comes from the name of the doctor Henryk Jordan, the originator, and founder of the first garden of this type in Cracow. Dr. Jordan promoted the idea of ​​setting up green complexes with places for play and movement games in cities for children and even to conduct workshops for manual work and cultivation of experimental plots. He tried to shift the public’s perception of the importance of physical education and making people realize that physical exercise is equally important to the intellectual development of children while shaping their personalities.

The park in Brzozów refers to this idea. Among the greenery, there is a well-equipped playground and an outdoor gym, as well as walking paths and plenty of space for jogging. Special events, picnics, and festivals are held here.

At the main entrance, there is a monument “To the Memory of the Nation to those who gave their lives to Poland 1939-1989”.

Entering Brzozów from the north, from afar, you notice a majestic church with two towers topped with copper helmets. It is the late-baroque Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Stara Wieś, which has been basilica minor since 1927. A large monastery building adjoins the temple. It is known from the chronicles that in the second half of the 17th century the local church was made of wood. In 1698, the current one was built and the equipment of the older temple was probably moved to it.

First Pauline and later Jesuit complex

At the beginning of the 18th century, bishop Aleksander Fredro brought the Pauline monks from Jasna Góra to Stara Wieś, who undertook the construction of a new temple and monastery. In 1782 the Pauline monks leave the village, and in 1821 the Jesuits embrace the church and monastery. The Jesuits transformed the monastery into their college and opened a novitiate in it in 1822 (closed in 2016). They are the hosts of this place to this day.

A secret high school

The religious, social, and cultural role of the College was especially visible in the 19th and early 20th centuries. During World War II, a secret gymnasium and high school operated in the monastery. It was the most thriving center of underground education in this area.

Miraculous painting

In the main altar of the basilica minor, there is a copy of the miraculous painting depicting the scene of the Dormition and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The original (painted at the beginning of the 16th century on linden and fir boards, crowned in 1877) burned down mysteriously in 1968. In 2006, the Institute of National Remembrance officially confirmed the burning of the painting by the communist secret police and classified the event as a communist crime. The perpetrator of the crime remained unknown.

For centuries, cardinals and bishops made pilgrimages to the miraculous image of Our Lady. On September 10, 1978, the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the coronation of the miraculous painting took place, presided over by Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, who was elected Pope a month later.

Museum of the South Polish Province of the Jesuit Order

The museum founded by Father Kazimierz Kucharski in 1972 is located in the parish house, in new rooms, and in the so-called vault. It contains rich collections of Jesuit activities, numerous natural, ethnographic, and cult exhibits from the Jesuit mission areas in Africa, Asia, America, and Australia. A separate group is the products of the culture of the Sanok Region and the oil mining in Stara Wieś.

The museum’s collection includes, among others the remains of the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Old Town, burnt in 1968, a copy of the painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa from 1618, mementos of the Archbishop of Gniezno and the Primate of Poland, Ignacy Raczyński, SJ, and of the Jesuit Władysław Gurgacz, chaplain of the Polish Underground Army for Independence (1948-1949).

Visiting is possible from Monday to Saturday, except for celebrations, after a prior appointment by telephone. A guide takes you around.

Spent your holidays in the beautiful Jesuit villa

3 kilometers west of the college, the so-called Villa from 1889 is situated. The building has elements of the Swiss style, and some say it is a unique object from the period preceding the so-called Zakopane style. In the years 1903-1905, a chapel was added.

The villa is open to people looking for relaxation. There is a well-equipped kitchen, 1-, 4- and 8-person rooms for about 60 people, a fireplace room, a football and volleyball court.
